You learn lots of useful and fun things and make loads of friends!!!!" - James Preston, Explorer Scout                                                                                   "I loved going to scouts on a friday evening, and explorers gave me friends all over the country. Whoooop were up and running! Hope you all had a good time. Good food! Bobot and Nick increased their knowledge of world cuisine, burger and coke from McDonalds.

We're all back from Edinburgh and i think i might be right in saying that we are all wiped out. (Thats what she said!)

As you might have realised the 3 Guys who came have amassed a collection of "hilarious" quotes that you will all be bored to the back teeth of by about 8pm on wednesday.

On Tuesday  we went over to coatbridge near Glasgow to the Time capsule lesuire center. Swimming and throwing ourselves down water flumes we ate in the diner and then out onto the ice where Quack, Jim, Vikki and Myself threw ourselves about for over an hour. After arriving back at the hut in Penicuik and putting the wee ones to bed we went out for a take away at the biggest chip shop ive ever been to, the penny cook. these guys battered and fried everything and a battered marsbar was my personal choice. Jim went for a battered haggis. see gallery.

On the Wednesday we visited the Museum on the Mound where we saw 1 million pounds in £20 notes then up to the castle where the 1 o'clock cannon lead to greg asking "was that it or a car back fireing?" then we left the rest of the group as they went to the castle shop and we visited a tartan weaving museum and got some photographs of the red trip necker in some intesting places. See the gallery soon.  Back in the vans down to murrifield the home of Scottish Rugby Union. Knotty and Jim joined one group while Quack, Greg and Myself trailed the others. The Stadium Tour was really interesting and the questions from the cubs kept us entertained, "What are the white post things for?"

back home and missing the fun of the fair... see you at Explorers

Reports and write ups from the trip now available on the Edinburgh 2008 page, link on the left now up and running.

If any of you want to organise a canoeing, rock climb/abseil  or scuba diving evening see me for details and contacts (Flint).

Just back from the abseil. Both myself and Knotty managed to do the abseil. I can tell you it relly does seem alot further down than it does when you look up. Now to collect sponsorship. We have until 31st March to collect as much as possible so please dig deep guys.

I really enjoyed the "drop" and i dont think i would be talking out of turn if i said that Knotty enjoyed it too.

We could do with getting a picture of the lot of you up here not just these three muppets!
