Welcome to 1st Norbury Scouts

 

 

This is the website for 1st Norbury Scout Group, Hazel Grove

 

We meet at the Scout and Guide HQ on School Street in Hazel Grove, Stockport. You can find us just off the A6 behind the McDonalds Restaurant.

 

1st Norbury Scout Group is part of the Ladybrook Valley District, in the Greater Manchester East County.

1st Norbury Scout Group was set up in 1960 to serve the boys of St Thomas's Parish Norbury. Originally comprising of the Cub Pack and Scout Troop after great success the Beaver Colony was opened up in the 1980s. We are looking forward to the opening of the Explorer unit in January 2008 and for the first time we will be inviting Girls to join us.

 

 

The Group meets on different nights of the week (found on the Section Pages) at the Scout and Guide HQ.

 

The group is still strongly affiliated with Norbury Parish Church and we attend Church parade on the Second Sunday of every month. We meet at the Scout and Guide HQ at 9.45 am and parade to the Church with the Group colours. The Service contains a variety of themes and is usually finished before 12.00 noon.

 

 

 

 

 

How to Find Us...

 

 

The Scout and Guide HQ is on School Street Just behind the McDonalds Hazel Grove Restaurant. As you drive down School Street, the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom hall is at the end of the Street. The Scout Carpark enterance is on the right immediatly before. The hut itself is the low wooden builing.
